Loch Etive

Loch Etive is a sea loch (fjord) located on the west coast of Scotland. Its hydrology provides ideal conditions for studying different oceanic processes at a smaller basin scale. For instance, we investigate spatial and temporal variations in Ra isotopes in Loch Etive, which would extend our understanding of fjord water mixing and Ra inputs to the global ocean.
